My so called knife.....

grauwulfOkay I ripped that off from Lollipop lust kill, but is was a kewl name for an albem. As least for those of us who were exposed to the early mtv sitcoms.. any way, so I was talking about all of the fun and joy that has been happening at work latly...
So in order to get the heck out of there and start really looking at the job hunt I had to get three things done...
1) complete regression quality testing of the 27 current maint apps.
2) coddel my replacement through the development of the final app.
3) label and version all of the code for these apps.
so here is the way it went down: Ravi was suppost to start development last week, but just 'didn't get arround to it' to which I was absolutly friggin fummin' well yesterday Arrow decides to trim the fat agian. Ravi gets laied off. *POOF* all of a sudden I need to do the app and get it ready for testing by week end, not a problem but still a shock. Then this morning get a call from the QA manager in Denver, Zhanna (QA tester that was working my apps) ALSO got caught in the 'trimming' and they have no available resources to work these apps. !SPAZ OUT! So here is what I do, I speak to Don and Reita about the situation. Reita in an amazing act of generosity aggress to finish the regression testing. Problem A solved. Then while disscussing the final application to be developed Don and Anthony have an apif and remember that the public facing e-Com apps are on indefinate hold so the new application that I was going to develop was pulled. Thirty minutes later Reita sends me back the issue list for the last 4 web applications. One bug, and that own is not even a show stopper. I fixed it and a few other small things today. Sending out the .war file tomorrow, which Reita will approve for the SQA side. Then all I have to do is
1) update VSS and label the code
2) update the 27 contents JSP's
3) run javadoc
4) file the request for a qual and production push
all of which I should be able to complete tomorrow. WOW lets talk about a complete 180°!
so tomorrow I'm done and can concentrate completely on study, job search, and cleaning up my pc files. "And lo upon the last week of work there was a great downloading of appz using the company connection" :)
ummm okay there is my weekly update :) now pissoff.
