it's sunday, I'm getting ready to head down to Lewiston/Auburn to watch the game (panthers got smacked by the way) and I get this call. from ron, ron is the guy who will be replacing the project manager who quit about a week ago. ron has no working knowedge of the project, ron is one of those people who somehow manages to promise the customer everything and anything while performing feliatio and assigning the work to pieons... all at the same time. so anyway, ron says that

Ron
"oh by the way I told the state that we'd do a functional and technical review of the portal application monday morning. so you need to come in to the office and make my presentation ppt. and...."

Me:
"so you are going to be doing what?"

Ron:
"We'll I'll be 'faciliting' the meeting. I'll just need you to talk about the portal..."

Me:
"uh huh, to whome and for how long?"

Ron:
"oh just the state technical staf. and the project stakeholders. and a review commity from the depatment of health and and and... you think you can wrap it up in 3 hours?"

at this point I am fucking livid.
Me:
"So basiclly you promised more you should, with no notice, and now you expect me to come in on a sunday and make you look good in front of the client?"

Ron:
"So you can do it then, thats great Kevin, thanks. *click* "

ARRRRRRRRRGH so 9am tomorrow the fun starts. I have half a mind to get about half way through the presentation and just star extoling the virtues of my Northrup Grumman compatriats.
